Dave Johnston
Bass Guitar

An incredible feel for the direction of the music, Dave forms a unique bass line that helps to drive the music while keeping a clear underlying structure. With an acute ear and unsurpassed technical finesse Dave moulds exciting and absorbing solos.

"Where's that big Cypriot?

Paul Jordanous
Lead Trumpet

His scenic melodies and dominant flowing solo lines, Paul illustrates the music with grace and ease. Solos come into their own with Paul's stylistic approach.

"Where's my Pepsi?"

Jules Bastrup

A contemporary approach, impressive talent and a laid back style combine to produce some unique lines that can really lift the music. With Jules' weaving solos you can easily become immersed in the mood.

"What?"

Chris Tingley

Classical style with a twist, jazz on the rocks, shake it and get the latin thing. A cocktail of finesse bringing dynamics to an ensemble. The theory boy is out to destroy by adding his spices to the dish!

"Well..."

Daisy Palmer
Drums

The most recent Rooster and boy what have we been missing! Daisy can swing, groove and jive and her intricate solos are breath taking. Her bubbly personallity seamlessly emerges through the music, drawing you in and leaving you wanting more.

Matt McNaughton
Tenor Sax

With both raw technical ability and driving ambition, Matt creates lines and harmonies that grasp the listener by both ears. A beautifully refined tone dominates his intricate melodic textures.

Phil Jones
Drums

With a solid and expressive style, Phil can create grooves that can keep the band playing away for hours. His grasp of differing styles is a treat to watch and drags the listener straight into the mood.

Nathan Hawkin
Alto Sax

Tom Grace
Drums

Tom was one of the 5 original Roosters, but has now moved back to the states after completing his one year Masters at Reading Uni. We hope to see him again very soon, and will no doubt be guesting for us when coming to visit.

With a delicate and expressive style, Tom is able to create both busy and sparse drum lines that never fail to amaze. Technically profound with an extraordinary sense of rhythm and time, Tom generates an underlying beat that is second to none. The next Blakey?

"Someone needs liberating..."

Piers Green
Alto Sax
